Projects:  

Publishing Studio 4 can do one thing that most other desktop publishing programs can't: the ability to instantly change the language of your projects. You can choose between English, German, Spanish and French. You can also choose your clipart based on the different languages.

Ease of Use:  

Frankly, we expected a better-designed control panel for the price we paid for Publishing Studio 4. This might be all right for a home user, but for a business it may be outdated-looking.

We also were unable to install the Draw 4 program that came included in the package. Each installation attempt stopped at 5% with a critical error.

Photo/Graphic Tools:  

Publishing Studio 4 comes with photo editing tools for adding filters, frames and borders and image effects like aging and other basic effects. Overall, however, the graphic and image tools aren't as good as some of the higher-ranked products.

Some of the included images come with scratches and flaws in them already.

Text Tools:  

We were somewhat disappointed with the text tools of Publishing Studio 4. You can't simply add the text effects to existing text in your document. You must open the power text editor and type the text there for insertion. Publishing Studio 4 does come with a spellchecker.

Printing/Sharing:  

The print and sharing options in Publishing Studio are very limited.

Help/Support:  

Publishing Studio 4 offers hints to you as you work, which is nice. The program also includes a few tutorials and a tour of some of the various features.

For the money you're spending for this desktop publishing product, we feel you might be happier purchasing other higher-ranked products.
